Sounds familiar to you? If you have watch the movie titled ‘3 Idiots’, then you would know what I’m trying to picture here. However, if this is the first time you heard about the movie, don’t worry, I am not gonna talk further on the movie. It’s just that particular part is related to this entry and it does really happen in real life though!

Okay, how can this problem occurs?

It happens when two parties is in a disagreement regarding their preferences.

The morale of the scene of the said movie is that, parents should not dictate children on what he/ she should do in his life. Parents are supposed to mould their children by providing knowledge and guidance. Needless to say, parents should not force their children to do things that they are in favor of and neglecting the fact that their children hate it.

Tips:
  • Quarrel will not solve anything.
  • Try to understand each others’ likes and dislikes. The keyword is ‘empathy’
  • Talk and discuss in a proper manner

p/s: Watch the movie! Even though the title is ‘3 Idiots’, the story line is genius. It is highly recommended for the whole family to watch this. Splendid and enlightening!

Author’s note: The movie came out in 2009, however, I could watch it over and over again. =p

The family.  We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together.  ~Erma Bombeck

You don't choose your family.  They are God's gift to you, as you are to them.  ~Desmond Tutu

Sometimes our hearts get tangled
And our souls a little off-kilter
Friends and family can set us right
And help guide us back to the light.
